Based in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Legacy Sports Agency is creating new opportunities for athletes to showcase their abilities, build their recruiting presence, and connect with college programs. Led by Head Coach Gerardo Rodriguez, the program is committed to helping players pursue their goals, even beyond the field.

Building a Program with Purpose at Legacy Sports Agency

Coach Rodriguez understands the recruiting journey and college football journey from firsthand experience. He played against Team USA, representing his home, Puerto Rico, and was named captain in the tournament. He led his team to an undefeated record and won the MVP award in the tournament. He continued his football career and played at Stetson University from 2016 to 2020 and in 2022, he began his coaching career as head coach of Legacy Football.

Since then, Rodriguez has helped guide numerous athletes toward opportunities at the collegiate level. He recently led Legacy Football through its first fall season—an important milestone for a growing program focused on creating a stronger pathway for high school athletes. 

That growth has required more than developing talent on the field. It has also meant finding an effective way to present each athlete's information to college coaches and make it easier for recruiters to evaluate the program's prospects.

Turning Player Information into Recruiting Opportunities

Through its partnership with The Athletic Academy, Legacy Sports Agency now has a centralized recruiting website where college coaches can view player cards, explore the coaching staff, access program information, and connect with prospects.

Each player card gives an athlete a dedicated place to organize the information recruiters need, helping transform scattered statistics, film, and personal details into a polished recruiting resume. The platform also allows Legacy Sports Agency to reach universities across the country and share its athletes with a much larger audience.

The results of that work are already making a difference. According to Coach Rodriguez, Legacy Sports Agency athletes have received around 10 offers since the program began using our services at The Athletic Academy only last year.

Coaches can share these player cards and promote every player, as well as communicate with families, celebrate commitments, recognize alumni, highlight team accomplishments, and provide valuable recruiting education throughout the year.
