The Athletic Academy helps student-athletes gain exposure and support during the recruiting
process. We provide marketing and recruiting tools, including Allen Football’s official recruiting
site at https://www.alleneaglesfb.com/, where college coaches can find player information.
For the Allen High School Football program, success isn't measured solely by wins. It is built through year-round preparation, leadership, accountability, and a commitment to developing student-athletes who are ready for whatever comes next. As one of Texas' premier football programs, Allen has consistently produced athletes prepared to compete at the collegiate level. Through its partnership with The Athletic Academy, Allen's players are also gaining the exposure they need to connect with college coaches and showcase their abilities.
We recently caught up with Head Coach Lee Wiginton, and two standout athletes, Lyndon Spriggs and Trey Roberson, to learn more about the culture behind Allen Football and how they're preparing for the future.
Developing More Than Football Players
For the Allen Football program, their athletes are being developed every. single. day. There are no off days as Coach Wiginton explains: "Offseason is the backbone of our success in the fall. That’s where we build our bodies, install our schemes, and hardwire our culture. We treat winter, spring andsummer like a lab—leadership, discipline, accountability, and football IQ are all developed long before Week 1, so by the time we kick off, our kids are just executing what they’ve already lived every day."
Furthermore, for Allen's coaching staff, building great football players starts with building great people. "At Allen, we use football to develop the whole person," the Coach Wiginton explained. "On the field we demand great technique, effort, and football IQ; off the field we're coaching habits—academics, accountability, and how to handle adversity." That philosophy extends well beyond football. Throughout the year, community leaders participate in Allen's "Men of Connections" program, giving athletes opportunities to learn from successful professionals in a variety of careers. "Our kids leave here with tools to be great teammates, husbands, fathers, and leaders long after the last snap," the coach said.
Learning from how others on how to be a great person and a great athlete contribute to Allen's continued success.
Lyndon Spriggs: Built for the Next Level
1st Team All District, 6A Newcomer of the Year, and Academic All District just scratch the surface of what running back Lyndon Spriggs has accomplished with Allen Football. With his incredible talent and grit, Allen had a lot to work with and provided him with everything necessary for him to grow as both an athlete and a young man. "Allen Football has prepared me on and off the field significantly," Spriggs said. "They provide us with resources such as our Men of Connections which is a group of men who are all successful from different jobs, so being able to talk to them and get a grasp of different jobs is very important. As far as football itself, we have tough workouts in the weight room and outside the weight room. Different phases in our offseason really prepare us for how we play during the season and even replicate some other college workouts. We have the best strength and conditioning coach in the country with a resume of coaching in every level all of our players want to reach and he prepares us."

Spriggs went on further to praise his coaches and teammates. Spriggs attributes much of his development to the coaches and teammates who continually push him, hold him accountable, and inspire him to compete at a higher level every day.
The Allen Football running back has the IT factor, and he gave some advice to the younger athletes that are looking to play at the next level: "If you are not already the biggest, strongest, or fastest, you have to bring a certain IT factor that separates you from everybody else. Always have confidence and work harder than everybody else and you will see the results show eventually. Last but not least don’t rush the process. Everybody's journey is different so don’t be discouraged if you don’t get what you want at the moment you want it."
Allen Football has partnered with The Athletic Academy since 2024, and Spriggs will be going into his senior year this coming school year. He has been with The Athletic Academy for almost his entire athletic career. When asked about how The Athletic Academy has helped him, he stated "Working with The Athletic Academy has helped build my confidence throughout the recruiting process a lot because I’m able to push out my resume to any and every coach I want with just one click of a button. I'm also able to update every statistic that I want if I have improved. The Athletic Academy has impacted my recruiting experience a lot because I am able to send all of my lifts and speed statistics out whenever I am able too. They also can see clips and what I'm about!"
Spriggs is going to go far, and we cannot wait to see where his football career takes him after Allen.
Trey Roberson: Path to Success
With offers from Auburn, Arizona State, Texas State, Baylor, Nebraska, Michigan Sate, TCU, Duke, Oregon State, and Arizona, just to name a few, defensive back Trey Roberson has paved his path to success and fully committed to play at Wisconsin. He commended Allen Football's college like structure helping to get where he is at: "Allen football has prepared me for the next level in the way we do things. I notice on a lot of my visits that we kind of go through the same schedule as most schools." With the support of the program, as well as his coaches and teammates, Roberson has been able to focus on growing and building his skills: "My coaches have constantly pushed me and never let me be comfortable where I’m at pushing me to improve. My teammates helped me become a better leader and learn how to carry myself."

He left the interview with an incredible piece of advice. He explained that making it to the next level is not easy. He explained that "if it was everyone would do it. 6.5% of highschool athletes make it to the NCAA. Have the mindset to be the best and that there’s always someone out there working and you can’t let them be better than you. Always do the extra work as well and learn from the best."
Allen Football Continues to Produce Next-Level Talent
Allen Football continues to develop elite student-athletes by combining championship-level coaching with leadership development, accountability, and year-round preparation.
With The Athletic Academy providing athletes with professional recruiting profiles, helping them to connect with college coaches, and showcasing their measurable progress, Allen players have another powerful resource as they pursue opportunities at the next level. Coach Wiginton uses our resources to help his athletes: "The Athletic Academy provides a central platform for athletes to gain exposure via social media. All prospects are able to reach college coaches through their player cards. This connection gives our athletes a huge advantage in getting evaluated."
Together, Allen High School Football and The Athletic Academy are helping student-athletes maximize both their potential and their recruiting exposure—preparing them for success long after the final whistle.
Building the Future of Recruiting
The Athletic Academy is proud to partner with Allen Football by providing athletes with the tools they need to gain exposure throughout the recruiting process. Through personalized recruiting player cards, like Lyndon Spriggs and Trey Roberson have, athletes can showcase their highlights, academic information, and recruiting updates in one place, making it easier for college coaches to evaluate and connect with them.
One of the key ways we support athletes is by creating recruiting websites for teams and players that serve as a centralized hub for information. Combined with social media promotion and athlete branding, The Athletic Academy helps Allen Football players increase their visibility and maximize opportunities to compete at the next level.
Through athlete branding and digital promotion, we help players build visibility while also providing recruiting guidance and support throughout the process. By combining these tools with easy-to-navigate recruiting platforms, we create a streamlined way for college coaches to evaluate players and connect with the next generation of talent.
